micronaut - capacitor Now Available...

From the original Analog Industries archive. Some links and images from that era no longer resolve.

Another heaping slab of analog squishies served up, in the form of Capacitor. This is a continuation of the theme I started with Resistor, and will finish with Transformer (coming in Q1 2011.) It is, by and large, a plug-in free zone. Almost every sound is generated from either an analog synth, drum machine, or guitar (mic’d; I don’t condone the use of amp sims except in writing) and almost all the effects are hardware.

The interesting track to converse about here will be CMU which is, unsurprisingly, 100% created and sequenced with the Apple //e and CMU-800R. It was an extremely tricky track to make, as I had to do a ton of individual track recordings, and sequencing on the CMU-800R software is roughly akin to, as I explained to someone the other day, driving a car via Morse code. So it’s a fairly satisfying track for me.

Anyhow, there you go. Pay What You Want, At Least A Buck at Bandcamp. I’ll put the Tunecore submission up this weekend, for people that prefer other avenues of distribution, but obviously Bandcamp is my preferred outlet.
