The Usual Monday Nonsense...
From the original Analog Industries archive. Some links and images from that era no longer resolve.
Since it’s becoming semi-traditional to make a Monday morning post wherein I say nothing of import, I’ll go ahead and continue the semi-tradition and do so now.
1. I’m about to make a build of BigSeq2 on Windows that I’ll use to write presets with. What that means to you: the Windows version of BigSeq2 is done except for presets. Adam is working on the AU port. We’re very close.
2. The wife and I went to see Itzhak Perlman conduct the Oregon Symphony last night. He played the Soil Strad in Bach’s Violin Concerto in A Minor, and I thought I was gonna choke the tone was so good. He then conducted the full symphony through Schubert’s 3rd, which was outstanding, and Brahms 2nd, which inexplicably made me itch. I think Brahms was trying to impress other composers more than the audience, as I find that piece to be technically interesting but musically tedious.
(As an aside, I wonder if Itzhak says “fuuuuuuck” every time he gets a curtain call. That’s gotta be a suck ass walk for him, and I use the word “walk” in a somewhat generous way. Dean Kaman needs to hook that motherfucker up.)
3. We’re DONE moving. This was the longest move ever in the history of long moves. Now, unpacking… shit.
4. I just got an email this morning that asked… well, you kind of have to read it:
I bought discord 2,,,and I was wondering if I could rename a preset called “devil stomp”..It has its number as 666 in the fx..,so…
and last thing….I Have installed your plugins into a folder called “anti-Audio Damage”….dont like the word called damage..so…is it okay?
I’d think that guy was taking the piss, but for the fact that he’s Norwegian, and the Norse are some of the most unfunny people on the planet. I’m pretty sure Garrison Keillor is the only Norwegian ever to get a laugh, which should give you an idea of Norse humor.
