Stormy Weather Open Thread...

We’re having a bit of a blow here on the Wet… errr… West Coast; the power has gone out at least a dozen times today, and quite frankly, I’ll be stupefied if I wake up tomorrow and I don’t have to get the generator cranking. So, obviously, it’s amazing that I can post at all, let alone something of world-shaking import.
Luckily, Adam already did, thus saving me the trouble. Needless to say, I agree with his closing statement wholeheartedly, and have followed suit. It’s a bit of a drag, because URS makes some stuff that really makes mixing easier. I can easily think of a dozen not-inexpensive pieces of software I would have purchased, and in turn said nice things about (or not, as the case warranted; I call ’em like I see ’em, especially when I pay for ’em…) here on this incredibly high-traffic audio site, were it not that they were protected by PACE/iLok.
In any event, I’m going to go back to hiding under my bed, hoping the 50-meter-tall Black Walnut in our front yard doesn’t fall and crush my studio.
