Success tastes just like chicken...

The Reverence Steam Roller keeps on chuggin’ on, sucking up roughly 115% of my life. You’d think it was a limited edition or something. Now, if you get the impression I’m being a little cavalier with the whole event, nothing could be further from the truth. A very special thank you to all the folks that have helped to push AD over the edge. We’re most definitely players now.
A couple of quick notes, then back to the sweatshop. First off, if you missed it in the comments of the last posting, CDM has an excellent review of Reverence up here, with some before/after sound samples. Thanks to Peter for that. (I’m not loudmouthed! I just type that way. I’m actually rather soft-spoken. Except when I’m yelling.)
Next, I just received issue 104 of Computer Music in the ol’ mail box this morning, and it contains (along with our shiney new black-as-midnight Reverence ad) a fantastic review of Discord 2, wherein we receive the little CM award doohickies for “Performance” and “Value For Money,” and the plug is given a 9/10. So, a big thank-you to Computer Music for that.
In the same light, Electronic Musician’s current issue has Discord 2 listed as the “Download Of The Month,” with a full page review, and there are some demo sounds on their Web Clips thing of both D2 and Ronin, which you can find here.
I’m sure there’s a bunch of shit I’m forgetting, but that’s the general run of things currently. On a different tack, is any of my fair readers a clarinet player? I need clarinet on a track. You need to be able to improvise on a general theme, and have the ability to record it at home yourself. (Like, I send you an audio clip, you play your part over that, and send me back the audio file which I can drop in my DAW.) Drop me a line via the contact button above if you’re interested. I wouldn’t be adverse to some other instrument that was in the clarinet tonal range, but ethnic stuff has to be able to play in the Western key of Dm.
UPDATE: I think I’m good on the whole clarinet thing. Thanks to everyone that wrote.
