2010
As the title says. Discord3 is now available for purchase in the AD store. Hit it.
Note the following: as we discussed here a couple months ago, this release, on the Mac side, is Intel only. No PPC version. Also, the 64-bit versions aren't done yet. Gonna be a couple weeks on those. One piece of good news for the AU users is that this AU (and all others following it) has MIDI Learn just like the VSTs always have. So that's fun.
Anyhow, let me know if you've got any issues, complaints, praise, comments, whatever.

We have to take some time to figure out the new system and roll a new OSX installer. In the meantime, it is what it is. As I said to an Apple engineer last night, "please sir, may I have another?"

I used it to give a subtle hallucinatory treatment to a kind of ersatz marimba ensemble in a BP song called "On Set/Onset." It's a marimba ensemble without any actual marimbas, just marimba-like sounds (primarily stainless steel water bottles.)
Using Discord3, I was able to "lift it off the ground." Like it sounds like the marimbas are floating above the floor, hovering in front of you.
No, I'm not high. OK. I might be exaggerating a bit. But I'm not high. Swear to God. OK. OK. I'm a little high.
Anyway, I will post a link shortly to a soundcloud to demonstrate what I'm talking about.
My main point here: Discord 3 is a lovely tool I will cherish forever.
Thanks so much for being so smart.
Fuckin' Adam and Chris. How do *they* work?

One Q -- I'm trying to do one of those 'fake 12 string effects' so I set the delay to zero, shift to 1200 cents and I cant get the shift mod to go to zero -- it pops back and forth between -7 and +7 cents.

@bleen: I'm kind of torn myself. It's handy for me, because I have to install the plugs like 55,220 times before they're released, and not having to deal with that one extra step is pleasing. Wasn't sure how people would respond to it, though. We tried to make it as obvious as possible, though, with a DMG instead of a ZIP and the graphic background and everything.
No complaints yet, anyhow.
