Progress Report...
Post Comment

The image above may look like all the other little tiny screenshots I've put up over the last month or two, but it is special, as it is the AU. We still have some issues, but it sequences, and it plays drum sounds, so the hard part is definitely over, and the end is most assuredly in sight. Like Ernst & Julio Gallo, we will sell no wine before its time, but we're getting there.

EDIT: Here's that mathy math track I was talking about a couple posts ago. Tattoo multi-out plus various soft-synths. There's a ton of plugs on the Tattoo channels.

+1! Not that I give a rat's ass about AU support. I have grand plans for Tattoo.

Paul Masson, not Gallo. As if you gave a shit about such trivia. Your stuff always looks and sounds quite cool. Congratulations on your consistency.

Cheers,

Alan Tomlinson

what's making that heavenly pad sound??

The description containing the word math gave me trembling flashbacks to taxes, but I'm sure glad I listened. That's some really cool music.

Let's see here (looking at Cubase mixer...) the bass is Massive. The two drone-ish kind of sounds are two separate instances of FM8. The little "acid" bass is a Cubase built-in, Monologue, and the "heavenly pad sound" is another Cubase built-in, Prologue, running about 80% wet through the Lexicon 300. So the pad part is Prologue, but the "heavenly" aspect most assuredly comes from the 300.

Oh, and that little "dum-de-dum" thing that kicks in at around 1 minute or so is Twin 2.

All the drums are, of course, Tattoo.

Is the random seq something thats gonna spit something new every bar and never play the same thing again, or is it d-16ish just spitting a random loop and sticking wit it??
