1. You don't talk about Analog Industries.

2. You don't talk about Analog Industries.

3. I'm with boobs.

4. The next person that mentions Geddy Lee in my presence, virtual or otherwise, is getting a neck punch.

With that out of the way, an update. Major breakthrough in the Cymbal Department today with Tattoo. I believe we're very close to calling this fucker Done on the Windows side of things. The Mac VST should go fairly quickly, but we have no idea whatsoever what joy the AU will bring, as we've never tried to make an AU instrument. So still a tough row to hoe, but it got a bit easier today.

Also too, still waiting on Apple vis-a-vis DroneStation. I'll keep you posted by posting.

EDIT: DroneStation is now "in review." In the last two go-rounds, this took about 20 hours. But I don't know how it works with a re-submitted app for bug fixes from a rejection, so we'll see. In any event, more news shortly, apparently.

If Rush is out, can we talk about the Scorpions instead?

I think I'd rather hear about [he whose name shall not be spoken] than listen to drummers talk about Neil Peart's massive kit any day of the week.

Big ups on the breakthrough with Tattoo's cymbals. Any chance of a new audio demo?

...and I apologize for the half-assed Harry Potter reference.

Looking forward to Tatoo. Alread lots of samples, lots of things that recreate drum machines I'd rather not sound like any more. Looking for something with tweakitude that's full of techno.

And something to redeem the idea of a drum synth after the debacle that was Attack. There never was anything more pitiful and annoying than the Attack 909 preset kit.

I did find one thing to do with Attack, though -- keep hitting randomize until you had a kit full of insane FM squidgy noises that take 5 seconds to evolve.

My entire 'sound' for a portion of the '90's was sequenced Attack random kits! I haven't done that in a while. That will change tonight...

The exact same moment that I read the words "tough row to hoe" Imogen Heap started singing "whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa..." and kinda tripped me out for a sec. Just thought I'd share.

Also very excited about Tattoo... my thoughts verge on dirty.

Dear Apple,

DroneStation. Make it happen.

Dronestation looks cool, especially the moving pictures interface.

I'm super psyched about using Tattoo to sequence my Jomox 888. That is going to be full of win, albeit going slightly against the Tattoo ethos of getting away from the x0x soundset (though the sample loading capability on the 888 mitigates that a bit).

@ synthetic:

careful, you almost made a reference to "he who's name shall not be uttered 'round here"....

Hold your fire, don't ban me for that.
