Go, Go, Snow Leopard...
Post Comment
After a morning's worth of testing, I think we can say with certainty that the entire Audio Damage product line works without issue in OS X 10.6.0. There may be minor problems here and there that I can't find, but my general impression is that everything is fine.

I can't, of course, speak to your audio hardware or your DAW. You'll have to find that out on your own. And if you've got a show this weekend with your laptop and you upgrade to 10.6 today, you richly deserve any trouble you may experience. When one is an audio professional, one approaches any and all upgrades with extreme trepidation.

can anyone report whether there's anything wrong with logic 8? no mention in interblogs yet it seems.

i'm kind of thinking about upgrading to snow leopard pretty fast now that my home studio is in kind of in-between phase (read: no audio interface and most of instruments still packed after move) but i'm not planning to upgrade to logic 9 just yet. if lp8 has issues after the upgrade, i'll just have to wait.

(kind of debating between getting all the new hotness now that i don't really have a solid working complete system anyway, or just sticking to things i know will work until all the crap is ironed out. we'll see)
