Here's a shot of BigSeq2 with the new UI. This is, I think, much better than the old one. Click for full-sized.
There is one major change to the architecture, as well. Previously, we had only one modulation target per effect. Essentially, you could only use the modulation sequencer of each effect for one parameter. Now, if you note, there is a small slider under each knob, where you can select positive or negative modulation against the current value. This creates a lot more possibilities, we think. The few of you that own Ronin will be familiar with this way of doing things. We also used this method for the LFO in Discord 2.
I'm fairly certain we've included virtually every feature that was requested in the previous threads on the subject, or at least the ones that weren't silly or impossible. The randomization is much more sophisticated on this one than on BS1, I'll say that much. You can individually randomize the gate or mod of each effect, and if you highlight the "reset" button below each sequencer, it will randomize per the value set with the "global reset" drop-down.
In effect, if you have "reset" on the mod sequencer for VCA active, and "global reset" is set to one measure, the sequencer will randomize every measure. You'll note the small buttons under each step in both the gate and mod sequencers. These are locks. If this is active for a step, no randomization will affect that step.
Moving on, the routing section on the bottom is where you select the effect you want to edit. You can also drag these bricks around to re-arrange the routing. So if you want to go bitcrush->filter->VCA, you're more than welcome to.
The final effects complement is VCA (which is the actual audio gating portion, and also panning), filter (the full complement from Dr. Device), distort (about what you'd expect), delay, frequency shifter, and bits.
Regarding the delay section specifically, it has three modes of operation: delay, chorus, and flange. Unlike the other effects, delay is always active, and the gate sequencer controls the send to the effect. It isn't actually _in_ the chain of effects. You control the spot where the sound is sent to the delay in the chain by moving the delay brick about.
We don't have an estimated finish time yet. There is still quite a bit to do. While the one I've screenshotted above actually works, to a certain extent, we've just put in the delay section, and haven't yet added the freq shifter. So it's still a ways away, unfortunately. We'll have a better idea of where we stand in a week or two.
This will be US$49, like all our top-line effects, and will replace BigSeq in the store. People that already own BigSeq will need to pay $10 to get this installer. It is, I don't really need to point out, waaaaaay beyond BigSeq 1 in terms of functionality and usefulness.
Also, will there be a 'murder' setting under that section?

Make tons of presets. I like moving through a bunch of them and getting ideas.

it so clean and futuristic.
it reminds me a little of vlad spears UI's link [daevlmakr.com]
nice work. i can't wait.
I'm not familiar with BS1, but reading everything you 2 have done so far has me thinking this will be a real beast of a plugin.
Oh yeah... love the GUI.

Thank you for this bit.

anyway, this one is definitely a must buy for me. The fact that you can re-arrange the signal chain order by drag-and-drop puts this above effectrix for me, where the order is always fixed.
