Automaton Overview Pt. 2 - Effects… from Audio Damage on Vimeo.
Here’s part two of my three-part screencast about Automaton. In it, I have a quick Adderall-fueled portion for the attention-impaired segment of the viewing audience, and then I do an explanation of each of the four effects in Automaton. Part three will be forthcoming, and will consist entirely of workflow demonstrations. As always, you can download the MOV (75 megs) from the Vimeo page. For some reason, this 11 minute video is too long for YouTube (as opposed to the roughly 10,000,000 other videos on YouTube that are over 10 minutes long, including some I put there myself) so it got flagged with a TOS violation. I made an edited version, which is here.

Having seen the idle mentions of replicant, but never having known anything about it. I just want to say; I think I'm in love.
brilliant
Slow as I am, I suddenly realize that Automaton is the product is what you said would be a direct competitor to one of your other products. Apart from the filter in Replicant - how close can you get to mimic Replicant? From what my slug-like brain, I get the feeling it can get pretty close (and do lots of other stuff that R can't do of course, but that goes without... eh, well... saying).
Replicant itself is, well, _far_ more sophisticated than the Replicate section of Automaton.

well done, really well thought, really appreciated rdm+population mode feature, remarquable integration of cellular automata possibilities in the interface, etc... and 'serviette' pronounciation is pretty ok (I'm french). Why 'serviette' btw ???
Hi Chris, just wanted to say I have bought several AD plugs and like them all to bits!
Serviettes is loosely pronounced as:
Sair-( as in air ) vee- yet ( silent S ).
Keep up the the good shit. Greetings from The Netherlands,

Keep on smokin'
Is that loop you used for this in the rhythm bed of the first song from Europa?
Unlikely. I got it off a ProSound demo disk. It was created, interestingly, by a long-time AI reader/poster.
