Stuff I Want For Christmas, And I'll Even Pay For It!
Post Comment
Santa, please send me someone that will sell me the following:

Roland EP20: I know, I know, but I want one, and that's that.

Hohner Pianet N or T: Ditto. Yes, I'm still looking for one that isn't priced so fucking ludicrously, Santa.

Roland MKS70: It would look so very nice in the rack above my MKS80. Yes, it would.

I think that about does it for me, Santa. Hook a brother up.

What, No Blofeld?

I can buy a Blofeld. I can't seem to manage to buy the three things on that list.

Point taken XD

BTW, have checked the Blofeld out lately? Waldorf decided to add all the Microwave XT/Wave wavetables, plus the PPG Wave upper wavetable, and the PPG filter.

Just curious, what's a ludicrous price for a Pianet T these days? I am still a bit pissed that I lost an eBay bid for a Clavinet/Pianet duo a year or two ago and the winning bid didn't seem to be huge.

They're going for around $450 or so, on average. There's 1 or 2 every week. I simply won't pay that much for one, though. If I could find one for $300, I'd be fine with that. I'd really rather pay $200, which is all they're really worth. Because Rhodes and Wurlis got so jacked in the last couple years, people are really turning to Pianets, which is annoying because they're nothing like the other two.

For some fucked up reason I want a Waldorf Rack Attack, there not as available as they used to be. I'd settle for an MKS-50 or 7.

A Roland EP-20? Really? I have one, and it hasn't worked in a while, and it really wasn't all that great when it did work.

The voices are kind of dull, and the decay times are ridiculously short.

If I were to resurrect it, it would be for the purposes of bending the adsr envelopes and tone colorations. As-is, it reminds me of flat 80's MIDI.

A fucked-up, useless list:

1. For some reason, I'd like to have a DX7II Centennial. It would look good on my USS silver Apex stand. I'd never play it, of course. There'd be no point.

2. Also, I'd like a Rototom rack with a set of three museum quality E-MU E-Drums to stick in the living room, behind the couch.

3. A pair of Technos Axcels.

I've got a MKS-70 that I never use, though I keep telling myself I'm going to spend a weekend exploring it sometime soon. What are they going for these days?

Speaking of the Blofeld, I'm planning on trading in my gorgeous Microwave XTk and getting a Blofeld, mainly for space-saving purposes. But I'm horrified by the idea that in a few years I'll be writing a post like this, begging someone to sell me an XTk...
