Pack it up...

by Chris Randall

I suppose if you're gonna be really, really good at something, it might as well be bayan, right? I mean, I'd rather be good at playing a bayan than, say, insurance adjusting or something. This fellow, Vitaly Dmitriev, pwns hard on the bayan. Bach never sounded so reedy. Or fugue-ey. Or something.

(Thanks to Jeff Laity, who should probably be working and not surfing the InterTubes.)

It's not an accordion. It's a bayan. In the same way that a clarinet is not an oboe.

According to the all-knowing Wikipedia: "Register switches may be operated with the chin on some larger models."

He does seem to be operating switches with his chin, but he's definitely singing too.

Also, I'm gonna go with that could could rip off your head with this left hand.

All in all, pretty cool.
