Okay, who _really_ let the dogs out?

by Chris Randall

I'm officially on vacation, or what passes for such in my relatively sedentary life, until next Tuesday. We're going to San Francisco for the hell of it, then Los Angeles to meet with some people, see some friends, and see my most favoritest band of all, Underworld. I might post here and there, but don't expect any moving literature from me until this time next week.

That makes me really, really want to do the trip to New York this weekend to see them. Gah.

Coming to San Francisco, eh? It would probably be out of bounds (considering you have no fucking clue who am I other than someone from San Francisco who reads your blog) to ask if you wanted to meet up at Robotspeak (link []">link []) for some gear or maybe somewhere for a beer, but, what the hell... if you have some extra time on your hands, drop me a PM or email me : jeremylk at gmail dot com

Ahh, sweet!
I saw Underworld back in 1998 at Glastonbury and they were totally mindblowing.

Time to stick on Dubnobasswithmyheadman, methinks.

dubnobasswithmyheadman is my favorite debugging CD. If I have some really perplexing code problem to solve, I put on that CD and I have a solution by the time it's over. Works every time. Don't ask me why.

I think I saw them in 2002 in Toronto.. that set is available online if you're a good yahgoogle-izer.

It was more like live audio engineering, but great nonetheless. It must have been good, I remember thinking it was way too short.

Dubnobasswithmyheadman... Dirty Epic and Cowgirl back to back.. mmm.

Although my fav will probably always be Pearls Girl (Carp Dreams Mix) as performed on Everything Everything. I picked up the Everything Everything DVD at a garage sale for a buck.

I hated two months off when it came out but it's grown on me. I think their TLAudio console really jacked up their sound in a bad way.

Ugh. I thought Underworld was a no-more. But glad to hear they're still doing music.

Oh yeah.. they are still kickin' it.. new album is out in Oct.

When are they hitting up SoCal?

Sep.08.2007 @ 4:31 PM
The problem is, they never hit anywhere. They're doing like five shows Stateside this decade.

Uh, isn't L.A. "SoCal?" I assume so, in which case the answer to your question is "September 9th." If you mean something south of L.A., then the answer is "not."
