Dr. Device Progress Report...

by Chris Randall

Here's a picture that will make many happy. That right there is a screenshot of the AU version of Dr. Device chugging away.

All that's left at this point is to tighten things up a little bit, do the presets, make the PPC versions, build the installers, and ship that fucker. So not very long now.

Nice job, it looks great, and I bet it sounds sweet too.

I'm still waiting for your aleatoric music plugin. If anyone could pull it off in style, it's you guys. :)

Good luck with the good doctor!

A few questions: judging by your statement that the PPC version is next, I'm going to assume that the plug in the screen shot is UB. So: 1) Does that mean that the Ronin VST is also UB; 2) what's zr 3?

Also, I noticed that zr3 is an instrument vst - is that the new AD instrument plug?

The plug in the screenshot is Intel only right now. We haven't made UB versions yet. But to answer your questions:

1) That's a version of Ronin that is, in fact, UB.

2) ZR3 is a freeware VSTi that was the first plugin ported to UB and VST2.4, so every developer has it. We had to get it to test things with Arne's VSTLord program, which was the first VST2.4 platform.
