Someone get this kid a Muddy Waters record, please!

Obviously, one could take issue with his lack of dynamics and vibrato, or his questionable tone, but then again, I'm not a half-bad guitar player and _I_ can't play that song, so I'll shut the fuck up. (Thanks, neB!)

While this is a neat vid, kids playing tough music by rote isn't exactly a new thing... there's hundreds of youtube vids of kids playing some insanely tough piano pieces.

If he were improvising a new solo over the solo section, then I would really be impressed.

That's got to be one of those "junior" sized strats, either that or he's got some big hands for his age. Still, pretty cool to see for someone his age.

It would have been so much nice if he had smiled in the end. Zuziki method?
And yeah, I had problems connecting his really long fingers with the rest of him.

i was just thinking today how easily kids can leave a trail of stupid, incriminating, or just plain embarrassing tidbits all over the net without realizing the potential long-term effects.

Meanwhile, stop whining about this lad, guys, as if you didn't learn your instruments (if you DID learn an instrument) by copying. At his age you expect more than this? If he gets around to using his little finger, and develops along the lines CR suggests, look out! I'd send him a Django CD in a anytime.

Wow.

When Nat King Cole says "you have a good career ahead of you," does it automatically mean "oh, you're gonna play with the Beatles at some point in the not-too-distant future"? If history is any indication, the answer is "yes."

Nice clip, though. I'm not gonna put up any more child prodigy videos, I'll say that much. None of these kids can hang with Billy.
