Strange Juxstapositions...

I'm sure I could come up with a weirder combination, but there's something strangely appealing about Jim Thirlwell and Marc Almond doing a Suicide song as a duet. The Beeb sure didn't mind putting odd things on the air back in the day.

I like this better than the original. I like Gene Pitney, and I like weird music, so it's only natural that I like Marc Almond.

I think it's a good cover...but I just don't think it can top the original in terms of scary factor (the primitive electronics and almost-sane-almost-not vocals go a long way imo). The trainspotter in me wants to know what gear they used on the first record...anyone?
