Bah....

by Chris Randall

So we got stacks and stacks of boxes of CDs yesterday, two releases (my own album and Bounte : One.) Unfortunately, some hoople-head at the pressing plant got the masters mixed up, and Bounte's album has my music on it and vice-versa.

What a fucking day.

Things like this are the reason that musicians become alcoholics and drug addicts, I swear to christ. Personally, I just scream "SHIT!" and punch the wall repeatedly. Same net effect, really.

We've ordered from this company 42 times now; stuff like this Just Happens, and there's really not much to be done about it. I know other labels that have far worse luck than we do; we've only had problems on this scale twice, including this one.

The problem is that the company we deal with recently switched pressing plants from the excellent Disc Amerique plant in Montreal to some tin shack in the middle of Bumfuck, Utah. It fucked up The System, for all intents and purposes.

It's all solved now, and everything is in the pipeline again. Theoretically.

Yeah, as far as I can tell, the CDs are the same. I'm an old, old customer with this company, one of their first. If anything was drastically wrong, they'd hear about it, and they'd take care of it or they'd lose my consistent business.
