Okay, I've started to get tired of making fun of people on this blog. Not that I have any moral qualms about it, mind you, in case you were confusing me with someone that gave a flying fuck about other people's feelings. It's just that there's so much out there to make fun of (there are at least ten keytard videos uploaded to YouTube every day) that it has gotten old.

So, my question is thus: since the content of AI over the past few months has been almost exclusively given over to making fun of people, what should I switch to? I tend to like the discussions we have viz. process the best, so I'm leaning in that direction. I would put more reviews up, but I'll only review stuff I've purchased; people offer me shit for review all the time (mostly software) and I have a hard time coming up with something that would be a bigger waste of my time than trying to write interesting things about something I wouldn't buy.

So, let's hear it. What do you want to read and discuss the most on AI?

The first thing that ever drew me to this site was the series you did on DIY racking up preamps...I would love more esoteric info like that. Boutique top-shelf gear porn is always welcome as well...

There's plenty of forums out there. This format is better for linear discussion.

I'm with meeglosh, I like the hardware DIY stuff and invented/ modded instruments postings. I also like information on new stock trades and all natural male enhancement.

actually i'm thinking about getting a good di, because i don't have any and i need one.
Now the question is active or passive ?
i'm looking at the radial passive and active ones or even the class A one.

Any opinions on DI's ?

no edit button...
but CR what DI do you use or do you use a z-input on a preamp ?

If you write it, they will come.

Seriously Chris, it's your blog, and as you said, you're not making money with it, so write whatever you want.

People come here for your uniqe observations on whatever-subject. If you're tired of doing the fucktard thing, stop doing it.

This is a great blog mostly because of your personality, less so because of the nature of the content.

musicmachinemaker, your question is off-topic, but I'll send you links to some of my faves privately.

I never watch the vids - whenever I see you've posted one I assume you're hard at work with no time for idle banter.

I think it's a good idea to drop the mocking of people, though not necessarily the mocking of things if they are related to music.

I don't think you have the time or excess energy to be an industry how-to resource site - you're doing plenty already.

I'd like to see a bit more transparency with the product development. Out of a set of serious potential future plugs, give us a chance to vote for our favorite and vote on specific aspects of its functionality, again with you providing a limited set of relevant choices to keep the process coherent.

I'd like to HEAR short clips that we all upload, showing AD plugs in action, describing how they were applied. This allows for group learning without placing any added burden upon you. I can even donate a moderate amount of server space for those without. Strict file-size limits will be enforced.

Otherwise the blog should continue in an intuitive, unplanned manner; that is the nature of a blog.

If you're worried about it, just do a Fucktard Monday. One good freak of the week lets the pressure out. Other than that you do fine as is, maybe more about using AD plugs in the wild. But definitely more FMOF or HCGPF. What the hell happened to those?

The soul videos you posted were a nice change from mocking people. So, if you come by videos of things you think are worth watching, or music you like, why not. That way you don't have to write an essay each time you sit down.
