Incoming...

We just ordered a pair of these from AH. I couldn't provide you with a real line of reasoning, other than various testing concerns. But the net result being that I'll be offering up a review shortly, if you were curious.

I think the faders work just fine given that they're onboard a keyboard, and some of the time will be spent on mixing, other times on other purposes.

The faders also feel quite nice to me, so I don't know why I'm reacting the way others are, except perhaps that build quality isn't consistent or something.

To me, I'd never replace a dedicated control surface with a keyboard for heavy-duty mixing. I think for synth editing and such with some light mixing, this is about perfect. The integration with Live is much-improved in the new release, especially now that the 8 macro knobs in Live 6 map so nicely to the 8 free encoders on the upper left.

More of an issue, I think, is the fact that the pots are on the opposite side of the faders, and lack center indents. That to me *really* says this was built for synth editing, and for that, it's fantastic.

Will be curious to hear what you think, Chris.

Feel free to violently disagree with my link [www.keyboardmag.co...]">story for Keyboard. ;)

I sugeested this would be the ultimate expansion controller for Nord G2 users, but heard nothing but bad experiences from people that used them. I still want to get one though.

I the older Remore 25 for synth editing, binding the sliders and knobs to the functions of my rack synths. Works great.

high tech
i was down to either getting this or the behringer bcr2000, but i think ill go with the behringer (although ive never owned any behringer products but at least this one isnt passing any audio through it)

more knobs (all endless rotary) and sure: ill need to pre assign all my presets to each VIsynth, but once thats done im flying.....and ill always have specific parameters (such as filters and envelopes) assigned to the same knobs regardless of synth
