Audio Damage Pulse Modulator Now Available (sort of...)

by Chris Randall

The new issue of Computer Music, #102, is on newstands now, and as I've previously reported, contains a free full-featured Audio Damage effect, called Pulse Modulator. This plug is a triple-LFO tremolo/distortion effect, based on the ultra-rare Electro Harmonix pedal of the same name.

The plugin is for Universal Binary AU/VST on OSX, and VST on Windows, and has all the usual Audio Damage bells and whistles (MIDI learn, tempo sync, etc.).

Most Borders stores carry Computer Music, but you might have to wait a couple weeks, as they run quite a bit late on their copies. Alternately, you can order a copy straight from Futurenet.
Issue 102 isn't in their store yet, but it will be in a couple days. The cost is ten quid shipped, which ain't too bad, considering we'd normally charge $39 for a plug like this. Plus you get all the other Computer Music goodness.

"we've decided to release Pulse Filter for free as well"

Delightful news. I love the sound quality and simplicity of FuzzPlus (do one job and do it well), and have been trying to decide which of your products to buy. Now I can try out the Bigseq filter to decide between that and Dub station.

A question re: the longevity of this one. The news item on KVR said it is only available this month, but it will in fact be available in perpetuity, yes?

I was given to understand it would be in the CM Studio in perpetuity. I'll drop Ronan a line and see if that's the case.

ding dong dang it! I just realized that all I can get in Tokyo is "Future Music" not "Computer Music". Its off to the intarweb for some ecommerce for me.

I got it in Ireland, and it's worth noting that CM effed it up -it took me half an hour to find the mac version of pulse modulator. It doesn't appear in the mac software section. It turns out that it is in the PC pulse modulator zip file -when you unzip it you get the pulse modulator mac versions, both component and vst. CM admit it here:

Oof. I just got my copy of CM and noted the same thing.

Well, I'll talk to Ronan and see if they don't fix it for the next issue or something.
