w00t! and furthermore niiiiice....

by Chris Randall

If you kids happen to pick up the current issue of Future Music (the April issue, which is on sale today), there are reviews of both BigSeq and Phase Two. That, in and of itself, isn't that big a deal. What _is_ a big deal is that both plugins got the Future Music Platinum award, and also both got the Value award.

Time for me to add some gee-gaws to the product pages for both, heya? Here's the digits from the reviews:

Stability: 10

Value for money: 10

Ease of use: 10

Versatility: 9

Sound/results: 9

Phase Two

Stability: 10

Value for money: 10

Ease of use: 9

Versatility: 8

Sound/results: 10

There are plugin companies out there that have never got reviews in FM that good, and here we are with the first ones out of the chute just killing. I'd like to think that it's because we're so fucking good, or something like that. In any case, this is a big, big deal for us, and I'm busy for the rest of the day running around and waving my arms, shouting "A! D! A! D!" until the neighbors call the cops.

Chris, this is because you guys are so fucking good.

Seriously, congratulations, AD is at the top of the heap in my book.

This isn't surprising, really, your stuff is just that good. The AD plugins are some of the first I reach for to apply to any appropriate task.

Now if only they ran on my receptor...

hell i'll kiss your ass too

you guys totally deserve it.. i've said it before but you've stolen Ohm Force's crown as the top FX developer in both 2005 and 2006

nothing against AD (I love you guys!) but I also hope those wacky Frenchmen wake up out of the freeze they've been in for a while now... they make top stuff too.

Anyway congrats and all that....good to see public recognition for the things I personally think are cool. Soon the whole world will come around to my kinda thinking muhuhahahaha....

This is well deserved. Your products are great, the price is right, and you back it all up with actual customer service. Can't wait to get some more of them.

Certainly well deserved . . .

. . .but Future Music is not taken seriously here in the UK by Those Who Know . . . Sound on Sound is the review you want.

Thanks, everyone, for the kudos. We really do appreciate it.

Re Receptor: if one were to show up on my doorstep, I'd do what needs to be done for our stuff to work with it.

Re Ohm Force: they do make top stuff; they're one of my personal inspirations. They (and others) showed that it is possible to start from nothing and establish yourself in the plug-in biz (assuming, of course, that you're willing to subsist on ramen and rug fuzz for a few years).

Re Sound on Sound vs Future Music: yeah, I know, but did you have to burst our bubble? :-) Seriously, though, SoS is my favorite music mag. I subscribe even though it costs quite a bit to have it sent over the Atlantic. We have gotten some coverage from them also, but not recently.

That's fucking awesome. Hooray for the little guy!

I think the word is getting around that the AD plugins are top notch and easy to use.
