Too... Much... Porn....

by Chris Randall

The new Audities Foundation site just went online. It is, in a word, dope. Check it out. The Buchla part is particularly drool-worthy, naturally. The one dark spot is that they don't have a complete working AlphaSyntauri.

But then again, neither do I.

I gave them a pass on the Helios front end/Fairchild compression/dual 1604 mixing because they're a non-profit, and get all their gear via donations. Obviously, no one has donated an API short frame yet.

But that said, there is some nice fucking shit in that room. And motherfuckers have _TWO_ Sequential Pro-FX. I actually need (as opposed to "want") one of those. I'll trade my Wurlitzer 112 for it. Seriously.

That is some hardcore, dirty ass porn.
Does anyone know what the transparent synth sitting on the mellotron is?

Gleeman Pentaphonic.

It's funny because people go on about how rare the clear one is, and that seems to be the only one you ever see.

If anyone has a spare Bosendorfer I'd be happy to accept it on behalf of my non-profit organization.

still that's a sad control room for such a magnifico ultimo setup. those dinky monitors (genelecs?), puhleeze. kean has a great tech working for him last I heard (JL formerly of musictek LA, who is probably the only person living to get a Buchla 700 up and running, which even Buchla abandoned, I'm told), so having a nice old Neotek, Trident, Harrison or other second-line console wouldn't a big deal. Must be some insane patchbays in there to get all them lines in from the keyboards. $100/hour non-profit? I suppose it's not profitable, but then, neither are most million-dollar + studios.
