UB VST hosts?

by Chris Randall

Is anyone aware of a currently available Universal Binary VST host? I can't find one for love nor money, but I know you guys get out more than me...

I believe VSTLord supports UB VSTs (and the VST2.4 spec).

VSTLord doesn't count, for a number of reasons. Chiefly, a plug _must_ be 2.4 to work with it, and I'm only interested in fighting one battle at a time. I don't want to have to figure out how the fuck to build a UB _and_ why the hell a 2.4 plug isn't working at the same time.

Besides, they're changing the 2.4 spec in a couple of days to 2.4r1, which will hopefully, like, work and stuff.

BIAS has announced that the Master Perfection Suite, an ensemble of six professional audio processing plug-ins, will be shipping in March for AU, DirectX, RTAS, and VST host applications on Mac OS X and Win XP. The company also plans on releasing Universal Binaries of their applications, though no timetable has been set. (Universal Binaries run natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs.)

The beta for Ableton Live 5.2 which will be UB should be out any day now.

from ableton.com

"Ableton Live 5.2 Brings Immediate Native Intel-Mac Support. Live 5.2 will enter beta as soon as the new Intel Core Duo-equipped MacBook Pro is available, and expected to be released in February."

Hey, guys, we know all this stuff about the pro applications. I was wondering if there was some freebie or low-profile host that was already out for UB.
