God damn! I said GOD DAMN!

by Chris Randall

Man, if that doesn't bring a smile to your face, I don't know what will. Inward Connections built this custom all-tube console for 16 Ton Studios in Nashville. There's a bit about it, and a couple more pictures in this thread at Gearslutz.

The old-school faders with new-school blue LEDs are my favorite feature. Man, I bet this thing sounds like heaven. I have a small amount of experience with the Inward Connections sidecars, and I can only imagine... ATC monitors round out the picture. Fuck. I mean, seriously.

Thanks to antiguru for pointing out to me that I should have noticed this.

this is just so crazy, stupid, "like some kinda dream" sick that I guess no-one really even knows what to say.

I guess I'm going to nashville when I die. Never would have thought I'd say something like that, but I'm a believer now baby...

All tube, even the power supply, huh?

I bet it heats up the room all by itself. No heating vents needed!

Seriously, that's amazing.

Thank You, Thank You, i was one of 4 people to build this beautifull console. Steve Furlotte of Inward Connections & Ian Gardiner were the minds behind the design.

My fellow employee and I built most of the console by hand. I did the lighting of the faders with blue l.e.d's (pain in the ass it was), and i also wired all point to point connections inside the console. My fellow employee built most of the modules.

And to oscillations, you would be surprised by how cool this board runs. Including the power supply. After leaving it on for over 8 hours in our shop, you wouldn't even really know it was on.
