Ever since I've seen those properly rack-mountable Sherman units, I've been wondering why Herman didn't make them that way in the first place... it's so much better!
My [now vintage ;-)] V1 maybe looks funky, but it's always been a bit
of a pain to find a proper place in any of racks... especially because
you want the patch-panel on the back of it to be available.

On a more 'positive' note, that Future-Retro thing sure looks the part!

wow, and it's all going through those Behringer amps? kinda sad, move on to the photos of the Buchla going into the Mackie.
BTW: I still have some original promo material on the first Sherman and it looked pretty close to that. That said, the Sherman had a pretty cool design, being able to rotate its' angle and all, really designed for optimal flexibilty, great as table top device and better than most in a rack. But, yes, i still want the jacks on the front, BUT NOT THE MIDI AND PSU, those go in the back where they belong. And MIDI, ...that's so 1982...move on.
So what filter is the Sherman based on? or closest to?

Hadn't even seen yet that the power and the midi were on the front of those new units... lol... That's a pain! I'll stick with my V1 then :)

i can't believe nobody has mentioned how dumb it is that the dual sherman rack has 2 power jacks on the front. yes, 2 power supplies to run that thing. totally lame!
