Cwejman modular???

by Chris Randall

It seems that the Cwejman site is down due to unknown Swedish troubles, but there's a Cwejman forum on where Michael Cwejman posts now and again, and the above-linked thread is quite interesting. It seems that Cwejman is going to do a real modular, which is a bit of a departure from their normal prepatched and semi-modular offerings.

There's a PDF available that talks about the various modules that will be available in the initial offering. Pictured at left is a 3-band parametric with voltage control on each control, which is pretty nifty. Also available will be a pretty fucking sophisticated oscillator, a multi-mode filter, and a complete voice module, which contains an oscillator, a multi-mode filter, and two envelopes.

These modules will be Euro-Rack, which just figures. It's looking more and more like I'm going to have to invest in a couple frames of that format. Maybe Shawn from Analog Haven (our friendly local Cwejman dealer) will chime in with an expected release date, and maybe some prices.

UPDATE: Shawn just posted to the Analog Heaven list that these will be shown at NAMM. I'll try to snap some pictures when I'm there.

I could never buy a product with "bandwith" misspelled on the front panel. :)

Heh. Good point. That's just a mockup; I imagine several (hundred) people have pointed that out to Michael Cwejman by now.
