Wicked Cool...

by Chris Randall

We had a fun week at both Audio Damage facilities. (For some reason that word gives me the gigglesnorts. I can't explain it.) While Adam largely spent the week swearing at our next product, I worked on an Audio Damage tech demo for [REDACTED], which was interesting, in a sort of academic fashion. The last few days I've been doing some OpenGL experiments with plug-in UIs that will hopefully bear some fruit down the road. As to whether you can expect a plug-in called Lazer Disco Cat, well, that is open to discussion.

Anyhow, the reason for this post: I'll be in Boston most of the week "consulting," and I was wondering if there were enough Boston-based folks on this list to warrant some sort of Analog Industries get-together for tropical cocktails and nerd-talk, on Friday (5/10) preferably.

"Thick sweatshirt." Like that'll protect me against the arctic hellscape of New England. I'm gonna be decked out like the Northmen in Game Of Thrones.

Pulled my shoes out of storage today. It's come to that.

I had to look that up. No fucking idea who they are.

I'm working on an iZotope product, actually. No big secret.

Cambridge is easy (even if it hates me) and the weather has been getting nice. I would like to meet up with ya'll. Name the place. See you there.

bah, I have been reminded that I have a prior engagement on Friday night. But I can recommend a few places... Since you are at iZotope, Area Four is a great spot to get a pizza, right outside their offices. If you want to walk a bit, Abigail's on Third Street is a great bar and restaurant (tell 'em "Ed the A/V Guy" sent you. I did their sound system). Also nearby there is Firebrand Saints. They have a nifty 4-screen video installation that processes the TV feed in real time. If you want to walk over to Central Square, Brick & Mortar is a cool bar that really experiments with their cocktails. And if you want to class things up, check out the Blue Room in One Kendall Square.

Sorry, guys. Wiped out from slaving in the pixel mines. No meetup this visit.

Disappointing a bit but no problem. A cutie needs emergency bicycle maintenance!
Cue appropriate sleazy backing track. HAHA.
Enjoy the evening and have a safe return flight.
