Out With The Old 'n' Busted, In With The New Hotness...
by Chris Randall
If you head over to AudioDamage.com, you'll be treated to a full ground-up re-design courtesy of my lovely wife, Elle Randall. To say that this is mainly a cosmetic update is to understate the matter quite a bit.
The major difference, other than looks, is in the license control. As of today, when you buy a license from us, you may transfer it to another customer free of charge. However, if you bought a license from someone other than us (e.g. on KvR) and you want to re-sell that license, you need to purchase a license transfer option for $4.00. I've been doing all these 2nd hand transfers by hand for a decade now, and it has gotten completely out of hand, so we're tightening the options a little bit.
The other thing, and this won't affect hardly anyone, is that any order over $500 (which usually only means "Everything Bundle") has to be done through Paypal. We've had several instances of people purchasing Everything bundles on stolen credit cards, and we don't find out about this until like 30 days after the fact, when we get a chargeback notice from our credit card service.
No other policy changes at this time, and other than looking and working much better, the store will operate more or less the same. Enjoy, and let me know if you run in to any hiccups.

I like the way the new account page has been organized. Hat tip to the always excellent work by Elle.
It's funny, there's going to be a few persistent moaners over the $4 surcharge, but my first thought was that you set the fee generously low.

After a bunch of computer fuckery that involve restoring boot disks from a backup (don't ask) I had to reinstall all the AD plugs again and was thinking how awesome some sort of "install everything" app would be. Know it would be a pain to build and maintain but a boy can dream can't he?
Yeah, I thought the 4usd transfer was generously low as well.
But either way, I don't care. Never letting my AD plugins go!
Nice redesign. Aha! I notice a "Hardware" section.
JUST SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!

I broached the subject to Adam about moving to a license control app situation. (It would actually be download and update control as well, like Service Center only more sophisticated, plus it wouldn't need to update itself every 3 days.) He was generally positive, but that's a fairly big undertaking, so we have to shoehorn it in.
We have a _lot_ of stuff going on right now, none of which I can really even hint at. But it'll start coming to fruition fairly soon, as Audio Damage moves in to v3.0 as a company.

oooohhh clean interface and less foreboding.
I no longer feel like THX-1138 when I peruse the next plug I'm about to buy...

Hmmm. I liked the dark backgrounds of the old website.
I think on the effects page it would have been better to just have pix and plug-in names only and have the one paragrah descriptions appear on mouseover. You are doing it the other way, showing pix on mouseover so you are greeted with a bland page of text:

Good for you for changing the transfer policy.
