Kombinat Dva Now Available...

by Chris Randall

As the subject says, Kombinat Dva is done and in the store. It's $49.00 for the full version, and a $10 upgrade from the original Kombinat. Git some!

Note: this will not affect any existing projects if you upgrade. Kombinat Dva is a separate plug-in from Kombinat, and projects that had Kombinat in them will still load the original. Kombinat Dva has the 40 main presets from Kombinat, so if you just used a preset in the original one, the same preset will sound pretty close in the new one and you can "port" your project settings accordingly.

Anytime I have an old track from the original demo in a multitrack session, I call thold track "o.g."

Very, very common expression.

The first neural connection that hits my brain when I see OG is "Over Gold", and unfortunately that movie reference is definitely an indicator of increasing maturity.

Flying Spaghetti Usurper is a reference to the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Nice reference Chris.

Somehow, I don't think Flying Spaghetti Usurper is what Chris had in mind...

If you look up OG on the google, you eventually get to the page where it explains that it became a term of art in the 1970s, to distinguish Crips from the original 'sets' from the subsequently founded branches.

The more generic term as it came to be used to designate older members of the gang who were supposed to be role models to the younger Gs.

This is going to go down in AI history as the whitest conversation ever to take place on this website. Even Chad and William can't save it.

It's even whiter than the 50-post thread about embedding audio in HTML5 tags.

Wasn't there an Amen break contest a while back? Then all the entries were played in one long file? I remember people making pitched sounds and stuff.

The guy from Breaking Bad didn't know what OG was. So, um...

Now I, OTOH, had to double check FSU. I was pretty sure we weren't talking 'bout a college way down south...

I can't save this... I don't even know if Ice-T could fix this, but I'll try: link [youtu.be]
