Analog Industries
Analog Industries is a blog about the music business and the creative process, and how those two things never quite seem to reconcile. The focus is on editorial opinion, rather than lightly edited press releases and other pseudo-content. We don't post press releases here, so don't bother sending them. We don't accept advertising of any sort, either. There are no "Pay For Play" entries where product was exchanged for kind words, no "link exchange," nor are there any AdWords or context ads, not even in the RSS feed. If you'd like to support Analog Industries, the best way to do so is by purchasing an Audio Damage product, by purchasing the t-shirts and such occasionally offered for sale in the store, or by making a Paypal donation on the Free Shit page.
Chris Randall
With over 20 years in the music industry, as a musician, producer, engineer, lighting designer, stage manager, production manager and designer, and label owner, there is very little in this business that can still surprise Chris. As an artist, producer, or engineer, he appears on over 250 commercial releases. Some of them are even not that bad, if you're in to that sort of thing. Chris was the lead singer of Sister Machine Gun, during which he learned that if you want something done right, you're probably better off just doing it yourself. Now he releases music as Micronaut and RT60, writes a monthly column for Computer Music Magazine, is the co-owner of Audio Damage, Inc., and takes the occasional photograph. (On film, natch.)
