Here is a Japanese site that has a mess of photos of the old Turnkey analog room in London. I'm not even going to try, really. It's too much. Here's a map of the room:
That's getting in to "Holy fucking shit" territory. It has all been sold off, and the room no longer exists, which is for the better. Note that the "Moog" above the Emu modular is actually an Elector Formant. Thanks to rasmus_nyaker for the link.
Okay, maybe not that daft, but at least a little bit daft. Check out the second entry on Basic Hip for an MP3-ified album from god-only-knows when. It was created by four PhD guys (two from Bell Labs) on an IBM 7090 computer. Check out track three for some serious HAL flashbacks, and some fun sound effects on track ten.
Like an onion, make you cry. This is the _home_ studio of a certain echorec, a member-in-good-standing of the Gearslutz Krew. The pictures were posted in this thread, where you can see them in all their full-res glory. I don't even need to talk about his gear, as the picture does it all. But wait, there's more. He's got quite a collection of synths, guitar amps, and guitars, too. Check it:
Oh, that just plain hurts.
