Whew (#4)

by Chris Randall

You _know_ your weekend's gonna be all right after you watch this shit. The sound is kind of asserific, with a vicious slapback, but who the fuck cares? From the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1980, this footage makes me wonder how the hell I ever played live without snyncronized-dancing backup singers. And a horn section. And, like, some sort of singing skill. Basically, what I'm getting at is "why bother?" It's done been preached. We'll finish this series off tomorrow with a real whopper.

Okay. Moog problem solved for now...

by Chris Randall

I'm really left with the nagging feeling that I should have got the analog delay, but I just sent someone a money order for the phaser pedal. The MURF just seems too fucking esoteric for my needs. This Analog Alteration Station in its entirety will be largely for my main instrument, which is the electric piano. Ergo, a phaser makes a certain amount of sense, where the MURF does not.

In any case, I still need to aquire a few things before the project is unveiled. What I'm looking for, if you're selling: a CP251, a Flying Cow (the 20-bit one is fine), and one of those flip-up 12-space SKB cases.

I also have one pedal that is now superfluous, a Russian-made Small Stone. If you have a need for this, drop me a line.
