Wanted...

by Chris Randall

Dear Lazyweb:

Do you, fair reader, have a Lexicon 200? I need a high-resolution image of the front panel of a 200, flat-on. It doesn't have to be 3000 pixels wide or anything, but I can't find a good large image on the Interwebs, and I seemed to have misplaced my 200. Oh, wait. I don't have one.

As a reward, I will grant an NFR license of the next Audio Damage product to the person that provides me with the largest image.

UPDATE:
We have a winner. Ed Anderson snapped me a photo of his which turned out to be just what I needed. Thanks, Ed, and everyone else who went a-hunting for me.

SSL Love-Fest Continues...

by Chris Randall

Don't you just want to hug those guys? I may up and move to Oxford if they keep on like this, just to be close. It seems they bought Sydec, those whacky Belgian DSP farmers. The press release is the typical marketeer speak "blah, blah, Sydec brings a thorough knowledge of the PC platform to the table, blah, blah, we're all on the same page, let's run it up the flagpole" bullshit, but the gist of it is thus: SSL now owns a company that makes audio PCs.

I see a replacement for the Death Star in my not-too-distant future.

These kids make a good-lookin' pedal...

Pictured is the Hot Hand Phaser/Flanger, from Source Audio. If you recall, they released a Wah effect in this form factor last year; you wear a little ring on your pickin' hand, and your hand motion controls the effect. Kind of quasi-cool, in a weird sort of way. Anyways, this is the phaser/flanger, kicking the same vibe. It sure does have a purty mouth.

WTB: Analog Monosynth...

by Chris Randall

I'm looking for a monosynth in the sub-$500 neck of the woods. I'm thinking along the lines of a Prodigy, CS-15, SH-7, OB-1, MS-10, etc. You know what I mean. If you've got something like this, don't live in Outer Mongolia, and accept paypal, drop me a line. The weirder it is, the more I'll like it, but it must have a keyboard.

Note: please don't fill the comments section with eBay links. I don't buy anything off eBay, ever. I'm boycotting them until they figure out a way to vet their customer base and stop all this bullshit scamming.
